Soccer again

Eric informs me that usually the shin guards go under the socks. How is a new soccer mom to learn these details?

Low res phone photo, but there’s Ivan in green with his team. He is so excited to have a team.

After soccer practice, kicking the ball with Eric.

First soccer practice was FUN

After soccer, Ivan told me he was sad it was Friday. I asked why. Because there’s no soccer until next Friday and that is A LONG TIME.

Show my your face when you are thinking about soccer.

This is Ivan’s face when he is a ninja cat who has taken the form of a poop emoji to fight bad guys. He tells me he smells really bad. That’s how he gets them.

Soccer

The store only had two pairs of shoes in his size. They were both green. These were the ones that were “more comfortable AND more green.”

Ivan is very excited. “I am going to be on A TEAM. A TEAM!” He is also pretty sure he’ll be good. As he says, “I am a very good kicker and you kick in soccer.”

Grandparents

The kids were very excited to have dinner with ALL THE GRANDPARENTS.

Ivan was sad to learn that Tam and Mark had already gone to airport when he woke up, but expressed that he was glad they got to play videogames with him while they were here and some dismay that they don’t have a console in Bozeman at their house. Tam does have her iPad there which she could put games on.

Sick Kid

He used to fall asleep in the car all the time in the afternoon, but not in recent years.

Illness has knocked him out.

He’s missed 3 days of school this week.
He ate a cookie and then declared he was too tired and sick to eat his other cookie.
He was not too sick to play video games with his family. He said,”I would be in the emergency room, if I was that sick.”
I think he’d at least be at the pediatrician if he was that sick.
