Ivan has been a pretty good napper for awhile, but in the last couple months as he perhaps transitions out of needing a nap every day the battles have begun. He stubbornly insists he is not tired, but his behavior and eyelids indicate otherwise.

After insisting he was not tired and refusing to nap, Ivan finally falls asleep while in the process of looking for a dropped binky under his bed.

After being put back into bed about 6 times, Ivan falls asleep with his hand reaching under the bedroom door.

Ivan is working on potty training and we are getting him away from his binky (pacifier). He’s doing a lot of growing up and I guess not going to nap easily is just part of that. But, oof! somedays are rough.
