My baby has developed pincers and opinions.

Ivan has decided he likes to pinch while being nursed or cuddled and his baby fingernails can be quite sharp.  We are not sure when he is sharpening them, but he must be sharpening them sometime.

He now wants things he sees or things the person he’s with is holding. He makes a noise of wanting and gets visibly frustrated if his big people don’t comply.

I thought I could have him on my lap and make some phone calls.  Nope, Ivan would wail if not given the phone in a most distracting way.  If given the phone, he would put it in his mouth in a most distracting way.   I had to wait till he was otherwise engaged to make my dentist appointment.  He likes to reach for his sister’s small toys (otherwise known as choking hazards) and wail to be given them.

He is more engaged in his world and his surroundings each day.
