Ivan found his sister’s shades
Cookie Monster Teamwork
Animal Noises
Ivan used to think all animals with hooves said, “Ee Oh!” which is his attempt at “hee-haw.”

Recently, he has learned horses neigh and goats say maa.
Though he still makes mistakes. He’s learned dinosaurs roar. He smiled and pointed at a picture of a salamander on his dad’s shirt and said, “ROAR!” There is a rubber frog bath toy that also does a most dramatic “ROAR! ROAR!” in Ivan’s hands. Any amphibian or lizard seems to roar in Ivan’s mind.
It is harder to take his photo lately, since he really wants to push the buttons on the camera any time it is out.
Baby’s First Downhill Sledride

Baby’s First Snowman
There was a sibling dispute about whether the snowman’s face should stay on or not, but we had fun building them. Ivan was on the side of faces are for removal. Ivan was the one who added the nose – and then removed it and then tried to add again only to have it fall off and then planted it on top of the snowman in his scalp.

Mixed Media Artwork
The artist creates a mixed media piece using washable marker and drool. Ezri drew the yellow oval, but Ivan filled it in. So, it’s a collaborative piece.

Ivan now has all 16 teeth without his 2 year molars poking through. The canines have emerged and brought with them drool and some urge to chew.
Ivan has also declared himself done with his high chair. He will sit at the table in a chair like the rest of us. Any attempt to put him in the high chair will results in kicking legs and “no-no-no-no” from Ivan. We’ve moved the high chair to the porch.
Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man
Ivan loves markers. I don’t think Ezri had access until older, but this is one of the perks of having a big sister. He is definitely right handed and very skilled at keeping the marks on his paper for his age. He scribbles with one color then puts it down tries to put on the cap and requests another color from the box.
