These pictures are from the spring, but I love how these sisters are liking my little guy.
She gave him her sweater to keep him warm. Good friends start young.

This is a couple months old. Siblings playing together is fun.
I am posting some photos Meghan took of the kids at Centennial Beach.
Ivan did one total face plant into the sand. He was surprisingly unphased by the experience mostly just looking perplexed. I think his long lashes did save him some sand in the eyes.
Ezri the helpful big sister ran to get water and was going to dump a bucket directly over his head before we suggested a more gentle sand removal plan.
Up until his facedown in the sand moment, Ivan had been restrained about putting sand in his mouth. But, as long as it covered his face he gave it a try. Then he spent a lot of time pushing it out of his mouth with his tongue. Sand = very fun. Sand = not tasty.

Ivan enjoyed bouncing in the water too and watching his big sister’s water antics.
Ivan shows he is recognizing words. If I ask if he wants up, he will lift his arms and look up. If he’s grumpy in his high chair and I say, “Do you want more?” He settles before I actually produce more food for him. He will sing back to you when sung too in the right mood.
Eric reports he also will play nom – a game in which Eric pretended to eat him while making nom-nom-nom noises, then Ivan pretended to eat Eric making his own approximation of nom noises.
“Self Love” or perhaps. . .”I Taste Like Chicken”

Ivan is loving pulling up on things.

He especially loves pulling up on Ezri’s small craft table and trying to get into her puzzle, play dough, markers, what-have-you. Her table has been a nice place for her to work while he played on the floor nearby. Clearly we will need to make a change.
