The Seven Toothed Wonder

Here his teeth really shine. He is loving the box that let’s him stand-up without a person to aid him. He is spending a lot of time pulled up into standing position and now that he can do that with furniture support is demanding less that his parents hold him standing up. My arms are grateful for the developmental leap forward.

He is working on an 8th tooth and the work is drool-inducing.

He’s really crawling.

Now, he is really getting around and pulling up to standing on furniture or on his parents.

Here he really wants whatever his big sister has rolled under our futon.

Here he is enjoying some quality time with his sister. Laundry baskets really are the best toys.

And this one is for everyone who sees the blog and talks about what a happy baby Ivan is. In general, he is a pretty easy going and happy guy, but it isn’t all the time. Just try changing his diaper when he is not in the mood or taking a dropped paperclip he’s found out of his chubby hand and you’ll know. The tears below are because Ezri left the laundry basket and he wanted her to stay.

Today I discovered Ivan has his fifth tooth. It is the bottom left lateral incisor. That explains some of the drool in the above photo. The fact that his onesie is on backwards is because sometimes he views dressing as an occasion for an all out wriggle fest and once I had it snapped I didn’t care which side was front. I was done.

Phones

Nothing is more fascinating than a phone.
Ivan even knows to look for mine in my purse if I leave it within range.
Now that he can scoot and do a partial crawl, his range is expanding.

Okay, Ivan. You got my phone. Now what are you going do?

Oh, yeah, right.

Ivan is showing that he understands words. Last week while he was on the changing mat I said, “Ezri.” She was not in the room and merely being referenced. He looked toward the door with his gaze dropped to exactly Ezri’s height and then looked back at me with a questioning look.

Garage Sale Find

Ivan likes this classic toy where plastic zoo animals pop up when you push buttons or flip switches. Ezri likes to do the popping up and Ivan does the pushing down. Team work. Thank you, neighbors, for selling this one.

I think you may almost be able to tell in this photo that Ivan has a gap between his top two teeth like the one that appears in all my pre-orthodontia photos.
