Day off School at the Arboretum
Rainy Saturday at the arboretum
So few people and so many things blooming.
Lovely smells and mud – good mix.
And when Ezri fell in the pond, she was already damp.
Our favorite drainage pipe to climb through and play “pooh sticks”
These are called Snowballs. They smell almost as good as lilacs – which are also starting to bloom.
Trolls are being built by a Danish artist from reclaimed wood. We stopped to chat and see the troll in progress.

Enjoying the wonders of the outdoors (or battling at Pokegym). He was also super happy to catch a lot of Electabuzzes.
It also happened to be a festival day celebrating European things – with Flamenco and Irish dancers and various music stages throughout.
a: Ivan, do you want to stop at the biergarten up ahead?
i: Yeah. They must call it an ear garden because of the music.
We stopped and listened to a Bavarian ensemble playing accordions and did some of our own dancing.
Ivan was given this ice pop for free because of his good looks. Or maybe because it was the end of the day and the guy was getting rid of his frozen goods. Either way Ivan said the limon helado was the best.
The pumpkin displays are out even if the leaves are just starting to turn colors.
