Ivan at the top of our candy chute sending treats down to trick-or-treaters. He spent over an hour manning this station on Halloween.

School Halloween Parade

Ivan with his superhero bodyguards. He opted not to change into his Halloween costume but still enjoyed parading.

We used our free cheese curds coupon from Culver’s to power up for Trick-or-Treating. Ivan did not want the free curd coupon to expire unused and it was 10/31 expiration date.

Every year the kids love this house with the PVC pipe candy slide from the window. Saves the kids trooping up the steep stairs and they love pushing the button that requests a treat down the shoot.

Ezri’s pumpkin had eyelashes for cuteness. Ivan’s was a minecraft creeper.
Jason and Lori scooped guts, read stories, planned pumpkin design and are generally super fun.

Tippy the Wonder Squirrel on Halloween

2nd Place winners of the DG Lions costume contest with Noble the Lions mascot. They won a LEGO set to make a lego robot which only made the win sweeter. Ivan who does not usually talk to people he just met was telling anyone who’d listen along the streets that he had WON THE COSTUME CONTEST!

Squirrels need water too. Trick-or-treating in downtown Downers at area businesses.

Window Painting in Downtown Downers Grove

We’ve been painting each year for many.
This year Ivan decided to paint the evolutions of the Gengar – one of his favorite Pokemon.
Ezri went for a happy zombie with a graveyard and 2 tiny ghost friends.

Many months ago Ivan asked to be a Chomper Plant for Halloween. Eric made it happen.
His big sister is a Sunflower. Both of these plants are zombie fighting vegetation from the app Plants Vs. Zombies.
Eric is dressed as Crazy Dave the genius behind using plants to fight the coming zombie hoards.

A stop to show off the costumes and be where it all started at the Downers Grove library which introduced Ivan to Plants vs. Zombies on its iPads. Ivan is playing some Plants vs. Zombies on the library’s iPad below.
