Book Pile #4
We’ve started making these piles of completed reading.
This is our most recent.
I only have one book in it. Most of them are Ivan’s reading – though Ezri contributes strongly. Eric occasionally adds to the pile too.
Ivan’s most exciting literary discovery is probably the Danger is Everywhere series he loves the weird acronyms and the page 9 scorpion. Don’t turn to page 9! He checked other books outside the series around our house and informed me that he hasn’t found any page 9 scorpions in them. But he hasn’t checked them all yet.
How tall are the kids these days?
I honestly don’t remember the results of this measuring done today.
But love Eric’s serious measuring!
Eric says that Ivan is 47 1/4″, Ezri is 56 1/4″
A crushing defeat at today’s game
Still, it’s easy to see how much better each of the players on Ivan’s team has gotten over the last couple months.
Looking at the scoreboard made Ivan cry but he kept playing despite wishing he could start over.
I’m proud of him.

Ivan still can’t dribble, but he’s learning to play as part of team and has improved a lot since game #1 of the season.

The little dragon has earned a new belt and was promoted from white belt with orange stripe to white belt with green stripe.

Only one front tooth
Ivan was telling me about marking on the chart at school his third tooth loss of 1st grade.
I said, “So, you’ve lost 3 teeth this year!”
Ivan said, “No, just ONE THIS YEAR.”
The kid loves to point out the technical truth as he sees it. It is his first tooth loss of 2018.
