Outside the Convention Center it was a lovely day. Here are the two kids running along the lake and Eric walking carrying a bag full of Doctor scarves & hats.

While walking the kids spotted the 31st Street Beach. They ran the whole half mile down the lake to the beach and begged to play in the sand. When we left they asked when they could come back to the beach.

We left the beach with more freckles than we came with – mark of a good day!

Game Time

Ivan had his first game yesterday and his second today.
Two games in two days.
Ivan’s team lost the first and won the second.
Ivan kicked the ball in the right direction.
He was hit in the head hard with the ball at the end of the first game and still really excited to play again.
The team is working on noticing when the person who has the ball is on their team and not stealing it.
They are also working on seeing open players and remembering to watch the ball when on defense.
It’s pretty adorable and passionate on the Kindergarten soccer field.

Ezri made this to cheer for her favorite player yesterday. Today she mostly climbed trees with another player’s older sister.

Our egg dying fun. The kids drew hearts and names on the eggs in white crayon until they realized they could draw butts. Ivan was excited to learn the word buttocks which is fancy for butt cheeks. He proudly proclaimed, “I have THREE BUTTOCKS!” It is not true. Eggs in lots of pretty colors.

Soccer again

Eric informs me that usually the shin guards go under the socks. How is a new soccer mom to learn these details?

After soccer, Ivan told me he was sad it was Friday. I asked why. Because there’s no soccer until next Friday and that is A LONG TIME.

This is Ivan’s face when he is a ninja cat who has taken the form of a poop emoji to fight bad guys. He tells me he smells really bad. That’s how he gets them.
